NovaFir Energy is building an intelligent energy control platform designed for residential, prosumer, and commercial clean energy systems.

Why NovaFir

Energy hardware is becoming more software-defined, and clean energy sites are becoming more complex. NovaFir Energy is building a platform that makes modern energy systems easier to deploy, easier to operate, and easier to scale.

Our focus is on three things, quality in what we build, service in how we support deployments, and innovation in how we improve performance and operations over time.

What we are building

NovaFir is building a unified hardware and software platform for clean energy control. This platform supports residential, prosumer, and commercial deployments through a layered architecture that scales from device-level control to site orchestration.

Product families

  • Prime, residential and off-grid systems
  • Nexus, prosumer and small commercial
  • NexusPlus, modular commercial PV inverter blocks

Commercial platform layer

  • Atlas, site integration and secure communications
  • ASCEND, operational intelligence and orchestration

Platform foundation

  • NovaTrack, high-performance MPPT and power optimization
  • Shared embedded firmware and diagnostics
  • Secure device identity and telemetry

Market focus

NovaFir is focused on energy systems that need better control, better operational visibility, and better serviceability, across three clear segments.

Residential and Off-Grid

Systems designed for independence, resilience, and simple deployment.

Explore the segment

Prosumer

Hybrid-ready systems for higher capacity, flexible architectures, and advanced control.

Explore the segment

Commercial

Under 25MW commercial deployments where reliability, integration, and operations matter.

Differentiation

Our differentiation comes from building a consistent platform, not a collection of disconnected products. This approach supports long-term performance and long-term serviceability.

  • Platform architecture, shared firmware, data model, and operational tooling across product families
  • Edge-first reliability, core functionality runs locally, with optional connectivity for visibility and support
  • Commercial integration layer, Atlas and ASCEND help reduce multi-vendor complexity
  • NovaTrack optimization, better real-world performance through advanced MPPT and power management
  • Made in Canada, designed and manufactured in Nova Scotia with export readiness in mind

Wind and hybrid optimization

Wind turbines are highly optimized by their OEMs at the individual machine level. The operational gap shows up at the plant and microgrid level, especially as sites add batteries, solar, export limits, and grid services requirements. NovaFir complements turbine systems by coordinating the full site as a unified hybrid plant.

  • Reduced curtailment and higher usable energy output through forecast-driven decisions
  • Improved ramp rate compliance using coordinated battery dispatch
  • Vendor-neutral integration across turbines, inverters, batteries, meters, and substations
  • Microgrid resilience features like islanding and black start for industrial and remote sites
